日本の伝統的な妖怪を独自の視点から掘り下げたコンセプトの作品を数多く手がける同社が、超メジャー妖怪に独自のディフォルメを交えて造形した今作。
王道の「提灯おばけ」らしさは残しつつも人間の背中の形をした舌の先や体の取っ手を朽ち果てた腕に掴ませるなどの技巧的なアレンジを加えた姿に、同社の妖怪への深い造詣と新たな解釈を感じ取れる逸品となっている。
今回は、漆黒の成型色に提灯の炎のごとく真っ赤な一つ目が強烈なアクセントとなった仕様でのお届け。
