日本初上陸となる本作は、『蠑螈～えいげん～超獣』の別名が示す通り『蠑螈＝イモリ』をテーマにした一作。
さらに、爬虫類モチーフのキャラクターを得意とする同社らしくサラマンダーの名前から連想されるトカゲの要素も加えて造形。
ドールアイを使用した奥行きのある瞳や細やかな表皮の作り込みでリアリティを演出しつつ、大ぶりのヒレを生やしてシルエットに変化を付けた見どころの多い一作となっている。
今回は、ホワイトをベースにブルーやパープル、ピンクで彩りを加えた爽やかなカラーリングでのお届け。
