普段は遊廓に勤めている遊女が深夜になると二又の化け猫に変わる昔話を題材に、妖艶な遊女像と猫の持つ神秘性をシリーズ共通となる半人半獣の意匠に結びつけた今作。
水流紋様に髑髏という存在感のある俎帯(まないたおび)には、赤のメタリック塗装に金や銀の塗装を差し込むことで花魁の気高さや高級感を表現。
足元のぽっくり下駄もしっかりと造形されており、簪(かんざし)や笄(こうがい)には伝統的な日本人形に使用されるパーツを使用するというこだわり抜いた作品だ。
